Keeley McSherry is an artist, designer, and educator based in Atlanta, Georgia. She has over 10 years of professional teaching experience working with children to adults in public schools, continuing education, and community art centers. Keeley is interested in activating community around her art-making, hoping to create work that "does something more than being just a thing on the wall".
A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Keeley holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Art Education with a concentration in Fibers and Material Studies. She lived in Glasgow, Scotland from 2011 to 2013, where she graduated with Merit from the Master of Fine Arts program at the Glasgow School of Art. Keeley was the Textiles Artist in Residence at the Lillstreet Art Center in Chicago, IL from 2013-14 and was the 2018 March Spotlight Artist at the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito, CA.
Currently, Keeley is a resident artist at the Atlanta Printmaking Studio, where she focuses on embroidery, C&P letterpress printing, screen-printing, and fiber reactive dyes.
Keeley likes to eat yummy food, listen to audio books, and groove to live music whenever possible.
